Jubilee Year 2025 – Events Schedule

Jubilee Year 2025: Events in the Diocese

In his papal bull proclaiming the Jubilee Year 2025, “Spes non confundit. Hope does not disappoint,” the Holy See wrote, “My thoughts turn to all those ‘pilgrims of hope’ who will travel to Rome in order to experience the Holy Year and to all those others who, though unable to visit the City of the Apostles Peter and Paul, will celebrate it in their local Churches.” As Pope Francis pointed out, we don’t have to travel to Rome to participate: dioceses and parishes across the world will mark the Jubilee with pilgrimages, Masses, and other special events throughout the year.

The Diocese of Peterborough and many of our parishes have planned other Jubilee Year 2025 events; check the calendar of events below to learn more. Throughout the Jubilee year, you can also visit one of our four pilgrimage churches – St. Michael the Archangel in Cobourg; St. Mary’s in Lindsay; St. Patrick’s in Kearney; and the Cathedral of St. Peter-in-Chains in Peterborough – to receive a Jubilee Year Indulgence decreed by His Excellency Bishop Daniel Miehm (you can read the full Decree here and visit our Pilgrimage Churches page here.)
